Resident Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and oversight for transportation construction projects within IDOT’s District 8
• Manage multidisciplinary consultant teams delivering roadway and bridge construction projects
• Supervise field activities and ensure successful project delivery through disciplined management of budget, schedule, safety, and quality
• Mentor and develop staff while maintaining strong client relationships with IDOT and contractors
• Contribute to management decision-making, business development, and strategic growth initiatives for the CM/CEI practice

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with 6+ years of relevant experience (or demonstrated equivalency)
• Valid Driver License

Preferred Qualifications

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or a construction-related field with 8+ years of experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) License
• 7+ years of DOT construction experience
• Experience with Highway and Interstate construction
• Knowledge of IDOT documentation of contract quantities
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
