Resident Director

Responsibilities

• Set and carry out the programmatic vision for a residential facility
• Supervise, train, and mentor student and professional staff to maximize performance
• Oversee student conduct, government advising, and crisis response (active duty coverage)
• Provide counseling to students to resolve personal, interpersonal, and academic difficulties
• Manage budget monitoring, financial record keeping, and expenditure authorization
• Implement judiciary procedures and maintain knowledge of student due process
• Build cooperative working relationships with students, colleagues, and campus partners

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related area or equivalent experience/training
• 1-2 years of experience in Higher Education, Student Advising, or Student Conduct
• Proven staff supervision skills
• Experience with budget monitoring and financial record keeping
• Strong student counseling and crisis intervention skills
• Knowledge of student due process and judiciary procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field
• Working knowledge of facilities, equipment, and resources used in residential programming
