Resident Director

Responsibilities

• Supervise, recruit, train, and evaluate student staff, including Resident Assistants and Desk Receptionists
• Manage day-to-day administrative operations of assigned residence halls
• Serve as a University Conduct Administrator to adjudicate student conduct cases
• Participate in the 24/7 on-call emergency response system for the residential community
• Provide crisis intervention, conflict mediation, and appropriate follow-up for students
• Oversee the implementation of residential curriculum, learning communities, and educational programming
• Advise student organizations such as Hall Councils or RHA
• Coordinate with the Facilities Department regarding maintenance and housekeeping needs
• Provide academic, housing, and personal referrals to support student success

Requirements

• Master's Degree in college student personnel, higher education, or human services
• Proven experience working in residence life or student affairs
• Ability to meet the live-in requirement for the position
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite and email applications
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and mediation skills
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends
