Resident Director

Responsibilities

• Oversee the development, management, and administration of Voorhees Hall to foster a vibrant residential community.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, student staff, faculty, and colleagues based on respect and care.
• Supervise and support student staff, including assisting with training, program planning, and evaluation.
• Manage community development by implementing plans that celebrate diversity and promote student engagement.
• Mediate conflicts among residents and address policy violations using developmental-based actions.
• Manage the individual hall programming budget and address facility needs.
• Actively engage in the life of the College by attending institutional events, worship services, and departmental meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Ability to live on-site in the residence hall.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
• Ability to remain in sitting or standing positions for frequent periods and move between different campus buildings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in student affairs or residential life.
• Experience in conflict mediation or student development.
