About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee the development, management, and administration of Voorhees Hall to foster a vibrant residential community.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, student staff, faculty, and colleagues based on respect and care.
- Supervise and support student staff, including assisting with training, program planning, and evaluation.
- Manage community development by implementing plans that celebrate diversity and promote student engagement.
- Mediate conflicts among residents and address policy violations using developmental-based actions.
- Manage the individual hall programming budget and address facility needs.
- Actively engage in the life of the College by attending institutional events, worship services, and departmental meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Ability to live on-site in the residence hall.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Ability to remain in sitting or standing positions for frequent periods and move between different campus buildings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in student affairs or residential life.
- Experience in conflict mediation or student development.
