Resident Director

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a welcoming residence hall community through intentional programming and relationship-building
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of Resident Assistants (RAs)
• Support student well-being through advising, care coordination, and emergency crisis management
• Participate in a professional on-call rotation to respond to emergent needs
• Oversee residence hall operations, including housing logistics, facilities coordination, and budget management
• Maintain accurate housing records and ensure compliant administrative processes

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Prior experience in residence life or a closely related student development role
• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suites
• Ability to live on-campus in a residence hall apartment 12 months per year
• Demonstrated commitment to a Christ-centered community and the mission of Bethel University

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree
• 1+ year of professional residence life experience
