Resident Director and Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Recruit, train, and supervise Resident Assistants and Head Resident Assistants to foster leadership and community responsibility.
• Create an inclusive residential community by building relationships with students and connecting them to campus resources.
• Participate in a year-round professional on-call rotation, responding to emergencies, mental health incidents, and facilities concerns.
• Enforce University policies and community standards through education, documentation, and accountability meetings.
• Serve as the primary staff advisor for Fraternity and Sorority Life, guiding chapter leaders on recruitment, risk management, and organizational leadership.
• Oversee residence hall operations, including facility assessments, health and safety inspections, and move-in/move-out processes.
• Manage programming budgets and support student-led educational and social initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to support and promote the University Mission.
• Ability to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in student personnel, higher education, counseling, or a related field.
• Experience in staff supervision and residence hall operations.
• Experience working with living and learning communities or diverse student populations.
• Proficiency with campus technologies such as Maxient, StarRez, Colleague, or Engage.
• Strong mediation, training, and administrative communication skills.
