About the role

Responsibilities

  • Foster a sense of community among residents through organized activities, events, and programming
  • Serve as a resource and mentor for residents, offering guidance in academic, personal, and social matters
  • Address and mediate conflicts and concerns within the residence hall to facilitate open communication
  • Enforce university policies and regulations regarding safety, conduct, and community standards
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and crises following established protocols
  • Complete administrative tasks including documenting incidents and maintaining records
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide after-hours support and assistance

Requirements

  • Must be a current, full-time Texas Wesleyan University student
  • Minimum 2.5 cumulative and semester GPA
  • Strong interpersonal, community building, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work a rotating schedule, including weekends, late nights, and holidays
  • Ability to maintain composure in challenging situations or emergencies
  • Ability to handle confidential matters in compliance with privacy regulations
