Resident Advisor

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe and supportive environment through dormitory supervision of Job Corps participants
• Assist students in adjusting to Center life through mentoring and behavior modification
• Ensure students meet required schedules, including waking on time and arriving for training
• Monitor student personal hygiene, room cleanliness, and chore assignments
• Provide informal counseling regarding stress management and personal problems
• Document student records and data according to PRH standards
• Facilitate life skills groups including budgeting, renter's rights, and conflict resolution
• Perform regular perimeter checks of dorms and outdoor areas to ensure security
• Maintain accountability of staff, students, and property

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• One year of related experience
• Experience working with youth
• Valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record
