Residence Life Specialist

Responsibilities

• Coordinate housing operations, including room assignments, roommate selection, and summer housing programs
• Supervise, mentor, and develop Residence Assistants (RAs) to foster student leadership and community building
• Support Greek Life by serving as a liaison to officers, members, and chapter advisors
• Manage residential facilities by assessing room conditions, issuing work orders, and coordinating with Campus Services
• Address student conduct and behavioral concerns in alignment with the College’s code of conduct
• Collaborate with Campus Safety and food service providers to ensure safe and high-quality living environments
• Provide evening and weekend presence on campus as needed to support the residential community

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Experience in residence life, student leadership development, or housing operations
• Experience supervising and mentoring student leaders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage conflict and address student accountability

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field
• Knowledge of student development and community-building practices
• Ability to build positive relationships with diverse campus stakeholders including faculty, staff, and alumni
