Residence Life Operations Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimize online housing applications and dining selection processes.
• Serve as the departmental expert for housing administration and database management.
• Facilitate housing and dining selection cycles, including study abroad transitions and summer housing.
• Act as the primary point of contact for students and families regarding housing and dining policies.
• Manage logistics for room moves, cancellations, transfers, key inventories, and early arrivals.
• Process student housing charges, check-out fines, damage fees, and cancellations.
• Respond to complex billing inquiries and manage financial appeals and refunds.
• Train Residence Life staff on housing software, reporting, and data interpretation.

Requirements

• High School Degree or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience managing databases or information systems in a complex environment.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential student data and sensitive financial information with professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Proficiency with Salesforce or equivalent modern CRM/web platforms.
• Experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
