About the role
Responsibilities
- Implement plans and process improvements for residence life program and service activities
- Develop, facilitate, and manage student programming, training, and resources
- Advise students on personal, academic, and community standard issues
- Determine appropriate disciplinary actions for breaches of housing policies and community standards
- Provide proactive support to individuals in distress and facilitate referrals to university services
- Manage routine and emergency on-call responses and issues management
- Supervise, train, and coach Residence Dons and other student staff
- Coordinate event logistics, risk assessments, and financial management for residence activities
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of experience
- Minimum of two years of full-time experience in a live-in, on-call residence life context within a post-secondary setting
- Experience in student advising, training, and programming development
- Experience investigating and adjudicating violations of residence policy
- ASIST certification and Standard First Aid & CPR (C)
- Ability to work irregular hours, including frequent on-call shifts, evenings, and weekends
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations using an equity-based approach
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including intermediate social media skills for outreach
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Woodsworth College and the University of Toronto
- Proficiency with StarRez software
