Residence Life Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Administer assigned residential areas, student staff, and community development initiatives.
• Recruit, select, train, and evaluate undergraduate student staff.
• Facilitate the implementation of department program models and oversee Living Learning Communities (LLCs).
• Support student success by connecting residents with campus resources and addressing personal or academic challenges.
• Manage building operations, including occupancy records, key inventories, and desk staff scheduling.
• Collaborate with University Facilities and Housekeeping to ensure residential communities are well-maintained.
• Enforce student conduct policies and participate in University Conduct Boards.
• Serve in an on-call rotation to provide primary contact for emergency or crisis situations, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required (Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or related field preferred).
• Experience advising student groups and facilitating programming.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a related field.
• Previous experience as a Resident Assistant or Resident Director.
• Experience in crisis response, conflict mediation, or emergency intervention.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Familiarity with Jenzabar technology.
