Residence Life Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Administer and operate several residential units, overseeing approximately 300-400 students.
• Select, train, supervise, and evaluate a staff of Resident Assistants (RAs).
• Manage residential administrative processes including room changes, health and safety inspections, and census reports.
• Participate in a rotating on-call system to provide after-hours crisis response and support.
• Plan, implement, and assess residential programming aligned with university learning outcomes.
• Facilitate student conduct meetings and uphold university policies.
• Build collaborative relationships with campus partners such as Safety Services, Facilities, and Counseling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in live-in residency and supervision of multiple residential units.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours.
• Ability to manage confidential and sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
• Must be a responsible employee and Title IX mandatory reporter.
• Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in Residence Life, Student Affairs, or Higher Education.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Familiarity with inclusive student development practices and wellness frameworks.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Colleague, eRezLife, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
