Residence Hall Operations Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Manage operational aspects of multiple residence hall main desks, including package/mail distribution and key ordering.
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a student staff of approximately 15-30 Main Desk Assistants and Exercise Attendants.
• Coordinate residence hall opening and closing processes and monitor equipment needs.
• Serve as a housing coordinator to track vacancies and work closely with the Housing Office and Residence Directors.
• Act as a primary contact point for Facilities Services regarding building-related issues and concerns.
• Provide administrative support to Residence Directors, including budget processing and communication dissemination.
• Participate in professional development and university committees to support inclusive residential environments.

Requirements

• Strong customer service, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in supervision, specifically managing front-line service staff or student employees.
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work effectively across different constituencies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience in higher education residential life or student affairs.
