Residence Director

Responsibilities

• Foster a vibrant, inclusive, and safe residential community for up to 350 students
• Provide direct leadership, supervision, and mentorship to a team of 6–10 Resident Assistants
• Manage student conduct adjudication and serve as a hearing officer
• Lead campus-wide crisis response through a professional on-call rotation
• Oversee day-to-day building operations, including room inspections and check-in/out processes
• Support student success through proactive case management and conflict resolution
• Coordinate educational, cultural, and social programming within the residence halls
• Maintain administrative records using housing and conduct software platforms

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree
• Previous experience living in a residence hall environment
• Current Driver's License
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, or a related field
• Previous experience as a Resident Assistant (RA) or in a similar student leadership role
• Experience with housing management databases (e.g., StarRez) and student conduct software (e.g., Maxient)
• Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution, mediation, or student support interventions
• Knowledge of student development theory
