Residence Director

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and train residence life student staff, including Resident Assistants and Graduate Residence Directors.
• Create safe, inclusive, and dynamic residential communities that support student holistic development and the university's Jesuit mission.
• Manage day-to-day housing operations, including hall openings/closings, room changes, and damage assessments.
• Serve as a conduct officer, coordinating interventions and promoting student accountability.
• Direct community development initiatives that foster academic achievement, diversity, and personal growth.
• Participate in the on-call and crisis response rotation to resolve critical incidents.
• Manage block budgets and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of physical facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to live on-campus in a 12-month professional role.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in college student personnel or a related field.
• Experience with university conduct processes and practices.
• Previous experience as a Graduate Residence Director or in a similar supervisory role.
• Experience in student crisis management.
