About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement worst-case demonstrations to make AGI alignment risks concrete for stakeholders.
- Develop adversarial and system-level evaluations grounded in these demonstrations to drive adoption across the company.
- Create automated tools and infrastructure to scale automated red-teaming and stress testing.
- Conduct research on the failure modes of alignment techniques and propose technical improvements.
- Publish influential internal or external papers to shift safety strategy and industry practice.
- Partner with engineering, research, policy, and legal teams to integrate findings into product safeguards.
- Mentor engineers and researchers to foster a culture of rigorous, impact-oriented safety work.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in AI red-teaming, security research, adversarial ML, or related safety fields.
- Strong research track record through publications, open-source projects, or high-impact technical work.
- Fluency in modern ML/AI techniques and comfort working with large-scale codebases.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience driving cross-functional projects involving research, engineering, and policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Security, or a related discipline.
