Researcher - Applied AI for Telco Networks and Systems

Responsibilities

• Conduct original research in applied artificial intelligence to drive the transformation of telecommunications networks into autonomous, intelligent, and AI-native systems.
• Design machine learning models for network optimization, anomaly detection, and root cause analysis.
• Develop complete data pipelines, including processing, feature engineering, training, and model evaluation using large volumes of network data.
• Investigate and integrate AI into network architectures such as NFV, cloud-native, and network management platforms.
• Publish research results in high-level scientific conferences and journals.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to transfer research findings into real-world production systems.
• Participate in international consortia, European projects, and standardization activities.

Requirements

• High analytical capacity and a solid foundation in applied AI for complex systems.
• Proven expertise in machine learning and working with big data.
• Experience with scientific publication (as a primary or significant collaborator).
• Knowledge of network architectures and telecommunications systems.
• Ability to communicate technical results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in autonomous networks, AI-native networks, and network optimization.
• Experience with emerging technologies such as Edge AI, SDN, Open RAN, or IoT.
• Experience working in international, multidisciplinary, and collaborative environments.
