Research Technician

Responsibilities

• Complete research experiments involving protein expression and purification, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, and/or cell culture
• Maintain laboratory stocks and supplies
• Assist undergraduate research students with basic laboratory procedures
• Support the daily management of routine laboratory work

Requirements

• B.S. in biochemistry, molecular biology, or a closely related area
• Undergraduate or post-baccalaureate research experience in biochemistry or molecular biology
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
• Must be a recent B.S. graduate (degree awarded no more than 5 years prior to start date)
• Must not currently possess or have previously pursued an advanced degree in science, engineering, or mathematics
• Strong English written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with protein expression, purification, immunoblotting, immunofluorescence, or tissue culture
• Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in research or pursuing an advanced scientific degree
