About the role
Responsibilities
- Produce embryo-like structures from mouse and human embryonic stem cells
- Use immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and microscopy techniques to analyze structures
- Develop and apply image analysis workflows for quantitative and spatial analysis using tools like IMARIS and Fiji
- Apply computational workflows in Python and R Studio to simulate early embryonic development and perform statistical analysis
- Assist in writing and preparing reports and scientific papers for publication
- Participate in weekly lab meetings and departmental seminar series
- Maintain laboratory equipment, manage ordering, and assist in training lab personnel
Requirements
- University degree in a relevant discipline or completion of a relevant technical program
- Minimum of three years of related research experience
- Experience working with mouse and human embryonic stem cells
- Proficiency in computational programming using Python and R Studio
- Experience with image analysis workflows
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in a laboratory setting specifically focused on stem cell research
- Experience writing scientific manuscripts
- Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Proven ability to plan and implement experiments and analyze complex data sets
