Research Technician

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage studies focused on digital cognitive assessments and training programs
• Develop study tools, including tracking forms, questionnaires, and administration protocols
• Train, support, and supervise research assistants and staff
• Coordinate project meetings to monitor progress and ensure research objectives are met
• Engage with potential participants through various recruitment methods and events
• Verify participant data daily and process data using MATLAB, Python, or R scripts
• Prepare and maintain Institutional Review Board (IRB) materials to ensure compliance
• Oversee lab operations, including equipment procurement, inventory, and supply management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Education, or a related technical field
• 1-3 years of academic or professional experience in a research lab
• Experience with IRB and clinical trial procedures
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to maintain accurate and detailed research records
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel for recruitment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with diverse populations, including children and older adults
• Experience managing undergraduate staff or large-scale projects
• Programming experience in MATLAB, Python, and R
