About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform molecular biology and cell-based assays, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, molecular cloning, Western blotting, and imaging
  • Maintain accurate and organized lab notebooks, reagent inventories, and institutional compliance records
  • Collaborate closely with lab members to support experiments, optimize protocols, and ensure proper maintenance of shared equipment and lab stocks
  • Present data at internal meetings and contribute to figures, datasets, and methods for publications
  • Engage in cross-disciplinary research efforts within the Molecular Biology Program

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or a related field
  • 2 years of prior research experience (academic or industry)
  • Proficiency in DNA/RNA extraction, PCR/qPCR, and Western blotting
  • Hands-on experience with molecular cloning and cell culture techniques
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and data integrity
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a highly collaborative team environment
  • Excellent communication skills and a willingness to commit to at least two years in the role
