Research Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide care for housed animals and maintain facilities and equipment
• Perform service requests for the area and provide technical support to all CMCiB units
• Adhere to biosafety standards and occupational risk prevention laws, including correct use of PPE and disinfection/decontamination processes
• Record data accurately in the computer system
• Execute research technician tasks in BSL-3, conventional, surgical, cleaning, and sterilization areas
• Work according to the center's quality standards, documenting and recording all CMCiB-related information

Requirements

• Higher degree (Cicle Formatiu de Grau Superior) in health sciences or a similar field
• Experience working with various animal models, specifically rodents and human anatomical models
• Experience working in BSL-3 biocontainment levels for infectious disease research
• Valid training for working with experimental animals (functions a, b, and c)
• Proven experience in pre-clinical studies regulated by ISO, GLP, or similar quality systems
• Availability to work on weekends
• Ability to work effectively within a team
