Research Technician III

Responsibilities

• Lead wet-lab insect cell protein production to meet project milestones
• Collect and record experimental data with high accuracy
• Perform rigorous quality control assessments on production batches
• Manage global logistics for protein distribution and inventory
• Prepare and set up equipment, reagents, and supplies for workflows
• Manage laboratory consumables and procurement needs
• Maintain accurate data in laboratory databases and shared records
• Define and enforce traceability standards for biological samples
• Follow established laboratory safety guidelines and protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a health or science-related discipline
• 6 years of hands-on experience producing recombinant proteins in insect cells
• Experience with secreted and intracellular insect cell protein expression using BEVS and Sf9
• Proficiency with automated FPLC systems
• Ability to optimize and scale parallel protein expression and purification
• Strong record-keeping and data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in a structural biology laboratory
• Experience purifying recombinant proteins (affinity, IEX, SEC)
• QC experience using Mass Spectrometry, DSF, and/or related methods
• Experience in high-throughput protein production
• Experience with mammalian systems
