Research Teaching Specialist V

Responsibilities

• Perform research and technical operations within the Department of Neurosurgery.
• Design, test, and evaluate methods and protocols for processing and analyzing electrophysiological and behavioral data.
• Assist with computational data analysis and data management.
• Interpret neurophysiological data alongside behavioral analysis performance.
• Summarize and organize collected data and assist in publishing results in professional journals.
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and experiments.
• Ensure laboratory equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Assist in training fellows, students, and lab technicians in laboratory techniques.
• Submit purchase recommendations to the supervisor as directed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science.
• Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking, and understanding).
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior research experience is considered an asset.
