About the role
Responsibilities
- Partner with Account Executives in early-stage meetings as the research expert, leading methodological conversations and building trust with senior insights buyers.
- Run demos and discovery sessions that demonstrate how rigorous research is conducted with AI moderation and how Outset integrates into buyer workflows.
- Scope and manage pilots from kickoff to delivery, ensuring output quality meets the standards of buyer stakeholders.
- Communicate the "future research state" through compelling storytelling that resonates with practitioners and decision-makers.
- Support proposals and RFP responses where methodological credibility is a key deciding factor.
- Act as a bridge between the market and the company by bringing the voice of the research buyer back to product, sales, and marketing teams.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in market research or UX research with deep, hands-on methodological expertise.
- Proven ability to establish credibility with senior insights leaders at large organizations (e.g., CPG, financial services, or healthcare).
- Experience in solutions, pre-sales, client services, or a senior practitioner role within a research technology company or agency.
- Exceptional storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex research concepts into business value.
- Proficiency in scoping work, managing timelines, and maintaining high quality under pressure.
- Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working on the brand or client side as a researcher or insights leader.
- Experience evaluating or implementing research platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-moderated research or emerging qualitative methodologies.
