Research Staff Assistant

Responsibilities

• Train experimental subjects to perform tasks that engage cognitive and emotional processes
• Conduct electrophysiological experiments to discover underlying neural mechanisms
• Perform general lab duties including animal husbandry, ordering supplies, and maintaining instrument inventories
• Use software applications to process and analyze data sets
• Assist with administrative and documentation tasks to support experimental efforts

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, or a related area of science or engineering
• Willingness and ability to learn specific experimental and technical procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience with non-human primate (NHP) handling and behavioral training
• Proficiency with Matlab and/or Python for data analysis
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, dynamic team environment
• Strong note-taking skills and sound professional judgment
