About the role
Responsibilities
- Train experimental subjects to perform tasks that engage cognitive and emotional processes
- Conduct electrophysiological experiments to discover underlying neural mechanisms
- Perform general lab duties including animal husbandry, ordering supplies, and maintaining instrument inventories
- Use software applications to process and analyze data sets
- Assist with administrative and documentation tasks to support experimental efforts
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in neuroscience, biology, or a related area of science or engineering
- Willingness and ability to learn specific experimental and technical procedures
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with non-human primate (NHP) handling and behavioral training
- Proficiency with Matlab and/or Python for data analysis
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse, dynamic team environment
- Strong note-taking skills and sound professional judgment
