Research Specialist 1

Responsibilities

• Construct analog and digital designs
• Perform printed circuit board (PCB) layout
• Troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic circuits and instruments
• Provide technical support for the design, fabrication, and maintenance of specialized electronic systems
• Maintain equipment and machinery used in the Electronics Shop
• Support the teaching and research missions of the Department of Physics and Astronomy

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a closely related field
• Experience with analog and digital design construction
• Proficiency in printed circuit board layout
• Skills in troubleshooting and repairing electronic components

Preferred Qualifications

• One year of additional relevant experience
• Ability to travel occasionally to assist with the deployment and installation of experiments at other sites
