About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day IRB (Institutional Review Board) submissions for human subject research and RCR committee activities.
- Act as a liaison between IRB applicants, members, and the Office of Sponsored Projects and Research (OSPR).
- Conduct pre-screening of IRB submissions and communicate necessary modifications to applicants.
- Maintain and update IRB materials, track submission workloads, and distribute approval or disapproval letters.
- Support grant application data maintenance using management software and Excel.
- Perform non-financial pre- and post-award grant administration tasks, such as sending agreements and filing progress reports.
- Conduct data cleaning and analysis of grant applications to prepare visualizations for annual reporting.
- Provide general office support, including managing inquiries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining OSPR records.
- Assist with the coordination of OSPR and CETL events and maintain the OSPR website.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Three years of related office experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook).
- Strong written and oral communication skills with excellent professional etiquette.
- Astute attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and follow research compliance policies.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple competing deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree, certification, or at least two years of college coursework.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or the Qualtrics online survey platform.
- Experience with data organization, analysis, and visualization.
- Experience with website maintenance or design.
- Knowledge of higher education or university structures.
