Research Scientist/Study Director

Responsibilities

• Design and oversee client studies in collaboration with scientists and technicians
• Contribute to the development of new in vivo models for obesity, type 2 diabetes, and comorbidities
• Select appropriate animal models and experimental protocols for drug efficacy evaluation
• Develop study plans, cost estimates, and research timelines
• Prepare and submit protocols to ethics committees for authorization
• Oversee efficacy studies in accordance with SOPs and quality/safety guidelines
• Liaise with clients to provide data updates throughout studies
• Analyze data and statistics to draft comprehensive study reports
• Propose new research areas based on market needs
• Calculate budgets for internal research studies

Requirements

• Ph.D. in pharmacology, physiology, metabolism, nutrition, biology, or a relevant field
• Excellent knowledge of animal models for obesity, type 2 diabetes, and associated comorbidities
• Several years of experience in metabolism (including postdoctoral work), ideally in biotech or pharma
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary scientific teams
• Good command of English and intermediate proficiency in French
