Research Scientist - Reinforcement Learning, Robotics

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on reinforcement learning (RL) topics, including large-scale closed-loop RL and VLA post-training for robotics and dexterous manipulation
• Explore fundamental RL topics with broad applications to physical AI
• Collaborate with Research Scientists and interns to produce publications for top-tier conferences
• Partner with Research Engineers to test and deploy algorithms into autonomy and robotics products

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in machine learning, computer vision, or a closely related field
• Strong research record in RL and VLA post-training for robotics or autonomous systems
• Proven publication record in top-tier conferences or journals (e.g., CVPR, ICRA)
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch
• Technical experience with robotics systems and distributed machine learning model training

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with VLA post-training for autonomy or robotics
• Experience with large-scale closed-loop RL in robotic simulation
• Experience building or working with large-scale RL training infrastructure
