About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct world-class research in computer graphics and AI to develop innovative solutions for Pixar and Disney film productions
  • Identify and solve complex graphics/AI problems by designing, developing, and deploying scalable algorithms and prototype software
  • Collaborate directly with artists, technical directors, and engineers to address real-world production challenges
  • Lead research projects and publish results in top-tier peer-reviewed journals and conferences such as SIGGRAPH
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and provide strategic recommendations for studio adoption

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, AI, or a related field
  • 2+ years of post-graduate research experience in academia or industry R&D
  • Sustained history of original research and publications in top-tier forums (e.g., ACM SIGGRAPH, CVPR, or NeurIPS)
  • Deep expertise in at least one area of computer graphics or artificial intelligence
  • Strong coding skills and the ability to analyze cutting-edge technologies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across diverse roles, from artists to executives
  • Strong technical writing and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple research tasks independently and within a team environment
