Research Scientist Graduate (AI Agent Memory Infrastructure)

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve next-generation memory infrastructure for AI agents, supporting long-term, conversational, and task-oriented memory.
• Architect and optimize memory system pipelines for large-scale, low-latency, and high-availability environments, including ingestion, storage, indexing, and retrieval.
• Explore challenges at the intersection of LLMs and data management, such as memory representation, ranking, conflict resolution, and summarization.
• Design unified memory models for multimodal data (text, image, audio) to enhance agent consistency and personalization.
• Collaborate with model and application teams to productionize memory capabilities and optimize performance across latency, cost, and reliability.

Requirements

• PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field (completing or recently completed).
• Strong experience in distributed systems, databases, information retrieval, or AI infrastructure.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go, Python, or C++.
• Solid understanding of LLM application technologies, including embeddings, RAG, and context engineering.
• Familiarity with memory system components like vector/graph indexing, retrieval/ranking, or multimodal fusion.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in agent memory systems, user profiling, or knowledge base systems.
• Contributions to open-source memory frameworks (e.g., mem0, memOS, memU).
• Strong track record in machine learning or AI systems through publications or impactful technical work.
• Experience with multimodal data processing or online inference systems.
