Research Scientist

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and analyze bench-level experiments for MCED assay development projects
• Operate and maintain relevant scientific instrumentation and troubleshoot technical issues
• Apply and optimize existing methods while proposing new experimental approaches
• Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory documentation in accordance with ISO and QSR requirements
• Contribute scientific insight to project planning and communicate development plans to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve departmental and project objectives
• Prepare clear reports and presentations of results and actionable conclusions

Requirements

• PhD in biomedical engineering, life/chemical/physical science, or a related field
• Strong knowledge of molecular biology, next-generation sequencing (NGS), and genomics
• Proficiency in statistical and mathematical methods applied to experimental design and data analysis

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry, preferably in molecular diagnostics
• Experience with the development of DNA detection assays
• Experience with data analysis using R or Python
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
