About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day activities across multiple maternal health research projects and serve as a liaison with OBGYN collaborators.
- Track project timelines, deliverables, IRB requirements, and reporting deadlines.
- Support study implementation, including recruitment coordination, data collection, and documentation.
- Assist with qualitative or mixed-methods data collection, analysis, and the drafting of manuscripts, abstracts, and reports.
- Support grant writing efforts through literature reviews and submission preparation.
- Supervise and mentor graduate student research assistants, providing feedback on their deliverables.
- Manage scheduling, meeting coordination, and administrative workflows for Dr. Grilo’s portfolio.
- Assist with event planning, such as workshops and student programming.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education and experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced academic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Public Health or a related field (or current enrollment).
- Experience with qualitative or mixed-methods research.
- Strong academic writing and editing skills.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, specifically between public health and clinical settings.
- Demonstrated interest in maternal health, health equity, or reproductive health.
- Previous experience supervising or mentoring students.
