Research Professor

Responsibilities

• Lead interdisciplinary research to prevent and treat obesity and metabolic diseases.
• Secure external research funding from national and international sources.
• Publish high-impact research articles as a Principal Investigator in Q1/Q2 journals.
• Serve as an advisor for the institution's graduate programs.
• Dedicate 25% of time to teaching within an academic school at Tecnológico de Monterrey.
• Participate in national and international research networks and events.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Biotechnology, Chemistry, Molecular Biology, Nanotechnology, Experimental Medicine, Food Sciences, or a related field (degree must be completed).
• Substantial publication history in high-impact (Q1/Q2) journals within the last five years.
• A minimum Scopus h-index of 15.
• English proficiency at C1 level (CEFR) or a TOEFL score of 600.
• Membership in the CONAHCyT SNI (Sistema Nacional de Investigadores) in Mexico or equivalent international credentials.
• Proven track record in securing research funding.

• Strong communication skills and an extensive professional stakeholder network.
• Proficiency in Spanish.
