Research Professor

Responsibilities

• Dedicate 75% of workload to educational research, including facilitating alliances between Higher Education Institutions (HEI) and fostering interdisciplinary work.
• Improve educational research to enhance student learning, institutional models, and lifelong learning capabilities.
• Postulate research proposals and secure external funding.
• Publish high-impact research in Scopus-indexed journals (Q1 and Q2) both independently and with national/international colleagues.
• Participate in the training of human resources within the institution's postgraduate programs.
• Engage with national and international research networks.
• Support the consolidation of the Educational Technology Unit, Research Lab, and IFE.
• Teach courses to students at Tecnológico de Monterrey (approximately 25% of work time).

Requirements

• PhD in Learning Sciences, EdTech, Curriculum and Instruction, Education, AI in Education, Educational Psychology, or related fields (e.g., Engineering/CS with strong educational application).
• Proven publication record in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals over at least the last five years.
• Minimum of 3 years of university teaching experience at prestigious institutions or experience as a researcher in a research center.
• Demonstrated experience in developing research proposals and obtaining external funding.
• Membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) in Mexico or equivalent international credentials.
• Research expertise in areas such as institutional transformation models, educational technology, neuroeducation, or learning sciences.
