Research Professor

Responsibilities

• Dedicate 75% of workload to educational research, focusing on neuroeducation and learning sciences
• Improve educational research to enhance student learning and higher education institutional quality
• Foster interdisciplinary work to improve learners' ability to solve complex problems
• Postulate research proposals and secure external funding
• Publish high-impact scientific research in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals (Q1 and Q2)
• Participate in the training of human resources within the institution's graduate programs
• Engage with national and international research networks
• Teach courses related to your discipline (representing approximately 25% of work time)

Requirements

• PhD in neuroeducation, learning sciences, educational psychology, cognitive neuroscience, education, or related fields
• Proven research experience in learning, attention, self-regulation, cognitive load, engagement, or student well-being
• Experience using biometric equipment for research purposes
• Evidence of scientific publications in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals within the last five years
• At least 3 years of university teaching experience at a prestigious institution or experience as a professional researcher
• Demonstrated experience in developing research proposals and obtaining external funding
• Membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) in Mexico or equivalent international credentials

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in education, educational technology, psychology, neurosciences, learning analytics, or educational assessment
• Experience in the design or evaluation of educational interventions, particularly in higher education or technology-mediated environments
• Experience working in interdisciplinary teams with educators, technologists, data analysts, or health professionals
