Research Professor

Responsibilities

• Dedicate 75% of workload to research addressing Life Long Learning and flexible trajectory design
• Facilitate alliances between different Higher Education Institution (HEI) stakeholders
• Improve educational research to enhance student learning and institutional capabilities
• Foster interdisciplinary research to improve complex problem-solving skills in learners
• Postulate research proposals and secure external funding
• Publish high-impact research in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals (Q1 and Q2)
• Participate in graduate program human resource training and international research networks
• Deliver university-level courses related to your discipline (25% of workload)

Requirements

• PhD in Education, Learning Sciences, Curriculum, Educational Technology, or related fields
• Proven experience in microcredentials, upskilling, reskilling, or flexible learning pathways
• Strong publication record in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals over the last five years
• At least 3 years of university teaching experience or experience as a researcher in a research center
• Demonstrated ability to develop research proposals and obtain external funding
• Membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) in Mexico or equivalent credentials
• Advanced English proficiency (B2/C1 level)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in co-designing programs with employers
• Expertise in competency certification or digital credentials
• Experience working with learning platforms or corporate training initiatives
