Research Professor

Responsibilities

• Lead research activities focused on the prevention and treatment of obesity and metabolic diseases
• Secure external research funding from national and international sources
• Publish high-impact research articles in Q1 and Q2 journals as a principal investigator
• Serve as an advisor for the institution's graduate programs
• Dedicate 25% of time to teaching within a relevant academic school at Tecnológico de Monterrey
• Participate in national and international research networks and events

Requirements

• PhD in Immunology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Biophysics, Medicine, or a related field
• Strong publication record in Q1/Q2 journals within the last five years
• Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or TOEFL 600 equivalent)
• Membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) or equivalent credentials
• Proven experience in securing external research funding

Preferred Qualifications

• SNI Level 2 membership
• Proficiency in Spanish
• High potential for leadership and commitment to developing innovative research agendas that drive technological development and entrepreneurship
