About the role

Responsibilities

  • Dedicate 75% of workload to research addressing educational challenges, stakeholder alliances, and interdisciplinary research.
  • Teach courses related to your discipline to students at Tecnológico de Monterrey (25% of workload).
  • Submit research proposals and secure external funding.
  • Publish high-impact research in Scopus/Web of Science indexed journals (Q1 and Q2).
  • Participate in the training of human resources within the institution's graduate programs.
  • Engage with national and international research networks.
  • Support the consolidation of the Educational Technology Unit, Research Lab, and IFE.

Requirements

  • PhD in Labor Economics, Public Policy, Applied Data Science, Economic Sociology, or related fields.
  • Proven research experience in employment, skills, talent demand, or sectoral forecasting.
  • Experience working with labor data, surveys, job vacancies, or skill taxonomies.
  • Strong publication record in Scopus and Web of Science indexed journals.
  • At least 3 years of teaching experience at prestigious universities or experience as a researcher in a research center.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop research proposals and obtain external funding.
  • Membership in the Sistema Nacional de Investigadores (SNI) in Mexico or equivalent international credentials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with governments, labor observatories, international organizations, or industrial chambers.
  • Background in workforce development or education with a strong emphasis on labor market trends.
