About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure successful, patient-oriented, safe, and effective conduct of clinical trials
- Assist investigators in preparing and implementing new clinical trials
- Screen and enroll study participants and provide protocol-related clinical management
- Collaborate with Protocol Activation office to initiate and activate new clinical trial protocols
- Perform protocol-related nursing education to other disciplines
- Obtain informed consent for therapeutic and non-therapeutic studies
- Provide high-quality, compassionate oncology nursing care
- Grade adverse events using NCI common toxicity criteria
- Complete Serious/Unexpected Adverse Event (SAE) forms
- Maintain research records including patient consent, eligibility, and Case Report Forms (CRF)
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- License to practice in the State of New Jersey
- Two years of oncology experience
- One year of oncology research experience
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) or Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse (AOCN) certification
- Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification
- Proficiency in Oncore™, Microsoft Word, and Excel
