About the role
Responsibilities
- Guide students in designing and conducting STEM research projects
- Assist with literature reviews, data collection, and analysis
- Teach fundamentals of scientific research, methodology, and writing
- Support students in submitting to peer-reviewed high school or undergraduate journals
- Mentor students who wish to participate in science competitions or present at conferences
- Provide structured guidance over 10 weekly 1-hour mentorship sessions
Requirements
- PhD or currently enrolled in a PhD program in a STEM field
- Prior experience in research and mentorship
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Passion for mentoring high school students
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise in Medical/Biological Sciences
- Expertise in Physics or Chemistry
- Expertise in Computer Science or AI
- Expertise in Environmental Sciences
