About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, management, and execution of the ARPA-H funded 'QUS-P' research project
- Oversee the development of research protocols, strategic work plans, and budget allocation
- Manage ethics submissions and maintain documentation with the Clinical Research Ethics Board
- Build and sustain relationships with multi-institutional collaborators, including UNC and BC Women’s Hospital
- Train, supervise, and manage research staff, including coordinators and assistants
- Oversee data management, quality assurance, and statistical analysis collaboration
- Ensure effective communication and regular reporting to ARPA-H regarding project deliverables
- Manage the financial aspects of the research project and ensure adherence to budget constraints
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of related research management experience
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
- Ability to travel to the USA for project requirements
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in clinical epidemiology
- Sound understanding of clinical issues in Obstetrics and health sector scientific terminology
- Proven ability to work independently and manage complex research infrastructures
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
- Experience in conducting needs analyses and monitoring research within allocated resources
