Research Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, management, and execution of the ARPA-H funded 'QUS-P' research project
• Oversee the development of research protocols, strategic work plans, and budget allocation
• Manage ethics submissions and maintain documentation with the Clinical Research Ethics Board
• Build and sustain relationships with multi-institutional collaborators, including UNC and BC Women’s Hospital
• Train, supervise, and manage research staff, including coordinators and assistants
• Oversee data management, quality assurance, and statistical analysis collaboration
• Ensure effective communication and regular reporting to ARPA-H regarding project deliverables
• Manage the financial aspects of the research project and ensure adherence to budget constraints

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline
• Minimum of 3 years of related research management experience
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
• Ability to travel to the USA for project requirements
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in clinical epidemiology
• Sound understanding of clinical issues in Obstetrics and health sector scientific terminology
• Proven ability to work independently and manage complex research infrastructures
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
• Experience in conducting needs analyses and monitoring research within allocated resources
