About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret basic molecular biology experiments
- Assist senior laboratory members with various experiments and workflows
- Coordinate and communicate with team members on multi-participant longitudinal experiments
- Identify and communicate experimental design flaws
- Maintain meticulous documentation of protocols
- Prepare and organize data for presentations and publication
- Present data at group meetings
- Train new lab members in equipment operation and standard techniques
- Contribute creatively to research aims in the lab
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in molecular biology or a related field
- 1-2 years of laboratory experience (can include classroom experience)
- Critical thinking skills, including realistic self-evaluation
- Ability to work well within a team environment
- Reliable schedule and ability to commit to the position for at least one year
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with cell-based work and in vitro biochemistry assays
- Experience with small molecule work
- Experience with mouse handling
- Previous experience with in vitro small molecule testing
