About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct molecular genetics research including cell culture (microbial and mammalian)
- Perform fluorescence microscopy and protein extractions
- Execute western blot analysis, subcloning, and genotyping
- Perform statistical analysis of research data
- Maintain and organize lab databases
- Assist with lab ordering and supplies management
- Direct undergraduate students and assist in training new lab members
Requirements
- HS Diploma or Associate Degree (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
- 0-1 years of experience for Associate level or 1-3 years for Intermediate level
- Experience with cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, western blot, subcloning, genotyping, or statistical analysis
Preferred Qualifications
- Coursework or professional experience with sterile technique
- Background in cell biology or related scientific coursework
- Demonstrated experience in molecular genetics
