Research Lab Technician Intermediate/Associate

Responsibilities

• Assist in the collection of preliminary data for NIH-funded research projects
• Prepare basic laboratory solutions and reagents
• Manage lab supplies, including ordering and maintaining stocks and databases
• Participate in research regarding the cell biology of virus infection
• Train new laboratory members as needed

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Associate Degree
• 0-3 years of relevant experience (Associate level: 0-1 year; Intermediate level: 1-3 years)
• Strong organizational skills and a strong work ethic
• Excellent communication skills for written and oral presentation of findings
• Ability to work effectively within a team setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a Basic Science or a related field
• Prior laboratory experience with molecular biology techniques such as PCR and SDS-PAGE electrophoresis
