About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the development and execution of diverse chemical biology experiments to support automated drug discovery research.
  • Develop and execute in vitro bioassays, including high-throughput affinity selection mass spectrometry, fluorescence reporter assays, and whole-cell imaging assays.
  • Perform protein work, including the making and handling of pure proteins.
  • Steward multi-omics studies and utilize protein knock-down techniques to investigate biological mechanisms.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team utilizing medicinal chemistry, AI, and organic chemistry to accelerate drug discovery for humans and endangered species.

Requirements

  • PhD in biochemistry, cell biology, or chemical biology.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing complex biological experiments.
  • Proficiency with technical tools such as cell imaging, CRISPR, chemoproteomics, protein purification, or structural biology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Programming skills in Python or R.
  • Experience with automated drug discovery platforms.
