About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct applied research on climate risk, water resources, and adaptation pathways across multiple Murray–Darling Basin sites
  • Develop and apply numerical models to inform water management decisions
  • Contribute to project management, partner liaison, and the delivery of milestones for the OneBasin CRC program
  • Prepare high-quality journal articles, reports, and presentations for conferences and partner forums

Requirements

  • PhD in environmental engineering, environmental science, or a closely related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in numerical modelling, data analysis, or modelling complex environmental systems
  • Knowledge of climate variability, water resources, climate risk, or adaptation frameworks relevant to basin planning
  • Strong communication and project management skills, with the ability to manage competing deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within large, multidisciplinary teams and across diverse stakeholder groups
