About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent research in human–robot interaction, delivering high-quality experimental outcomes and peer-reviewed publications.
- Develop and manage research plans, timelines, and documentation, ensuring accurate records of experiments and analyses.
- Contribute to teaching, supervision, and mentoring through lectures, tutorials, laboratory activities, and student research projects.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to strengthen the School’s research profile and outputs.
- Participate in seminars, committees, and outreach, supporting funding bids and the dissemination of research outcomes.
Requirements
- PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, Human–Robot Interaction, Human-AI Interaction, or a closely related discipline.
- Strong publication record in leading HRI, robotics, or human-computer interaction conferences and journals.
- Experience performing independent, innovative research within interdisciplinary teams.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills applied to experimental data.
- Strong communication skills to present complex research concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in managing research projects and timelines with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to engage constructively with students, colleagues, and external collaborators.
